Aimee Haldane is a Glasgow Based artist working in mixed media techniques. She graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2021 with a BA (Hons) in Sculpture and Environmental Art, and since has exhibited work, curated, and both facilitated and supported a variety of creative workshops for all abilities and ages. Aimee’s practice promotes imagination and expression through material play, while striving for accessibility to the arts. She has worked with groups such as Art in Hospital, Make Do and Grow, Studio Pavilion, and more.
From diary entries to dreams, I observe escapism fantasies. I am interested in translating the worlds of the mind in to reality, as the concept of them co-existing fascinates me and informs my practice.
Using processes such as material play and digital forms, I enjoy shaping participatory engaged worlds which come together as but not limited to installations with inclusivity and imagination at their core.
Currently, my work lies in facilitated workshops, inspiring myself and others through engaging in expressive material play. And finding a bridge of accessibility between people's reality and minds in the form of a communicative artwork.
